Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss continue to add pieces through the NCAA transfer portal. The Rebels are expected to take Utah State receiver Micah Davis to add to the portal haul, per Matt Zenitz. Davis is a senior who earned honorable mention honors in the Mountain West during the 2023 season.

He did that by recording 36 catches for 628 yards and six touchdowns, figures that all ranked third on the team. He started seven of the 11 games he played in during the season.

Prior to that, Davis was at junior college. He attended Iowa Western Community College, where he made a significant impact as a return man. Davis led the nation with 326 yards and 29 punt returns, earning first-team all-conference accolades.

In addition to his return duties, Davis doubled as a capable receiver, catching 33 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns.

Davis spent two years at the United States Air Force Academy prior to his stint at Iowa Western Community College, playing running back for the Academy. He ran for 360 yards and four touchdowns in 2021. He played sparingly in 2020, appearing in just four games.

His addition is the latest for Ole Miss out of the transfer portal, where the Rebels have focused considerable resources. Ole Miss has now added 25 players from the transfer portal this cycle.

Among those additions are a number of key offensive skill position prospects.

The Rebels added North Texas receiver Jordan Smart, Southern Illinois receiver Izaiah Hartrup, Georgia State running back Domonique Thomas, Maryland running back Rashad Amos, Miami running back Henry Parrish, Virginia Tech tight end Dae’Quan Wright, LSU running back Logan Diggs, South Carolina receiver Juice Wells and Florida Atlantic receiver Devin Price.

Suffice it to say there’s plenty of firepower in that mix and Davis will only continue to add more.
