Walter Nolen: Texas A&M DL, No. 1-ranked transfer sets Friday visit to Ole Miss

Ole Miss will host one of the top players in the transfer portal for a visit this weekend. On3’s Chad Simmons has confirmed that former Texas A&M defensive lineman Walter Nolen will visit Oxford and the Rebel football program starting this Friday.

Once a member of Jimbo Fisher’s historic 2022 recruiting class that rated No. 1 in the country, Nolen spent two seasons in College Station, appearing in 22 games for the Aggies. He recorded 66 tackles, 11.0 tackles for a loss, 5.0 sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a pass defended.

Speaking of that fabulous ’22 recruiting haul, not only was Nolen apart of it, but he was its crown jewel. Nolen ranked as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 D-lineman, the No. 1 player out of his home state of Tennessee, and was the No. 1 overall player in the class, all according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
