The Ole Miss Rebels clinched the 2022 College World Series championship after a 4-2 victory over Oklahoma this evening. The win was the conclusion of an improbable run by the Rebels in the postseason. It also was the product of an epic, bottom of the eighth comeback against the Sooners.

After all that, it was Mike Bianco’s team who earned the right to hoist the trophy in Omaha. They basked in that moment in front of the crowd filled with Ole Miss faithful.

The Rebels went 10-1 during their NCAA Tournament run. They swept in the Coral Gables Regional and in their Super Regional against Southern Miss. During their trip to Omaha, they went 5-1 to clinch the championship. After a stretch like that, they earned their right to reap the benefits of a title victory.
