Ryan Folmar explains how Oral Roberts' offense can break through in elimination game vs. TCU
Oral Roberts finished the first three innings of Tuesday’s elimination game versus TCU down 1-0. Golden Eagles head coach Ryan Folmar was asked during his mid-game interview with ESPN about how the team could get the offense flowing a little better.
“We need some base runners,” Folmar said. “Gotta get some guys on base, gotta make him feel a little bit uncomfortable and try to make something happen.”
Oral Roberts had zero hits through the first three innings but had worked three walks to get some base runners aboard.
That includes two walks to start the third inning and then a sacrifice bunt to put the runners in scoring position. But Cam Brown got two outs to end the damage.

Brooks Fowler started the game for the Golden Eagles, and allowed one hits and three walks in three innings, leading to one run.
“That’s been his out pitch all year long,” Folmar said of Fowler’s split pitch. “Gotta be a little bit more efficient with the fastball but he always has a chance when he’s able to go to the split.”
