2026 4-star OT Kodi Greene commits to Oregon: 'The feeling I have is different'
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei offensive tackle Kodi Greene has committed to Oregon. The four-star is the No. 36 prospect in the 2026 On3 Industry ranking and he chose the Ducks over schools like Michigan, USC and Washington.
Oregon offered Greene in November of last year. He got to Eugene for the first on Feb. 3 for a Junior Day. He returned for Saturday Night Live in July. The feeling he had the first time never went away and that visit helped confirm his decision.
“I can’t explain it. On this past visit, something was calling me to commit to Oregon,” Greene told On3. “A few days after I got back home, I made my decision to commit. I thought I would make my decision sometime after my junior season, but the feeling I have about Oregon is different.
“When I was there for Junior Day, there was a different feeling about Oregon. Something felt different and it set them apart for me. The energy and the feeling were different. Oregon has been my top school since that visit.”
Greene is Oregon’s fourth commitment in the 2026 class.
The Oregon coaches played a big role in Greene’s commitment
Greene made the move down to California from Washington in January. He grew up a fan of the Huskies, but Oregon checks all of his boxes.
“My connection with coach Dan Lanning and coach A’lique Terry was one of the keys to my decision. Who they are, the energy they have and how they have recruited me stood out to me.
“I also love how Oregon has five offensive line coaches. Coach Terry is awesome, and he is a great teacher, but if I don’t understand something, there are others there to help me.

“Those things drove me to commit. That and the feeling I have when I am there. The recovery is great too and I like the facilities also.”
Greene will attend his first game in Autzen Stadium this fall. He is excited to see the team play, the atmosphere and watch his future coaches in action.
“I love coach Terry’s energy, so I can’t wait to see it in a game,” Greene said. “He always brings it. Coach Lanning does too. He is a very energetic guy and that is what it feels like around the program.
“I am super-excited to get up there to see what it is like for a game. My commitment is strong, I feel like I am shutting things down now and I can’t wait to see things in person on game day.”
