4-star CB Ify Obidewgu sets Oregon visit

Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy four-star cornerback Ify Obidegwu visited Oregon back in January, and he’s ready for a return visit.

Obidegwu tweeted on Tuesday that he will visit the Ducks for a second time since the new year when he heads to Eugene this weekend.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder is the No. 169 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 15 cornerback and the No. 6 junior prospect in the state of Maryland.

On3 is higher on him than other major recruits services though, as shown in the Industry Comparison. In the most recent On300 rankings, Obidegwu was tabbed as the nation’s No. 131 overall recruit, No. 12 cornerback and No. 3 player in Maryland.

The Ducks are one of more than 30 programs to already extend him an offer, a list that also includes Maryland, Penn State, Tennessee, Ohio State, Michigan, USC and others.

He visited Tennessee as well in January, and includes both the Vols and Ducks in his top seven schools, which also featured Alabama, Ohio State, Maryland, USC and Michigan.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $79K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
