4-star IOL Alai Kalaniuvalu commits to Oregon Ducks
Oregon’s hot July on the recruiting trail continued on Wednesday, as the Ducks landed a commitment from Provo, Utah native and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star interior offensive lineman Alai Kalaniuvalu.
The 6-foot-3, 297-pounder chose Oregon over the likes of Nebraska, USC and Michigan.
Kalaniuvalu is the No. 228 overall prospect and No. 17 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 4 player in Nevada.

The Ducks rounded out the blue-chip trench monster’s June official visit schedule, getting him on campus in Eugene on the June 21 weekend. That trip helped solidify things for head coach Dan Lanning, OL coach A’lique Terry and the Ducks staff.
Oregon now has three offensive linemen in its 2025 recruiting class. Kalaniuvalu flanks Tampa Sumner four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison and Bellevue (Wash.) three-star IOL Demetri Manning. Addison is a top-200 prospect and the No. 14 OT in the nation.
Ducks in position to sign another elite class
With the addition of Kalaniuvalu, Oregon now has 16 total commits in its 2025 class, which currently ranks No. 4 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore, the No. 3 overall prospect, made perhaps the biggest splash of the entire cycle on July 4, committing to Oregon over Texas, LSU and Ohio State. He’s one of two five-star WRs in the class, alongside Tampa Bay Tech WR Dallas Wilson.
