Jamari Phillips, a four-star shooting guard in the 2024 class, tells On3 he’s committed to Oregon.

The 6-foot-4 senior out of Dream City Christian (AZ) had been committed to Arizona since December of 2022. He signed his National Letter of Intent with the Wildcats in November before decommitting just 10 days ago.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Phillips is the No. 52 overall player in the nation in the 2024 cycle. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Phillips on his commitment to Oregon

Phillips went in-depth on his commitment to the Ducks with On3.

“I chose Oregon because it’s just one of those places that makes me feel right at home,” Phillip said. “The consistent work I can put into my game and body there will be tremendous and I can see the team as well as myself be very successful this upcoming season. The way the coaching staff is going to coach you and hold you accountable really allowed me to put my trust in them. They want their players to get after it and work and knowing my work ethic they displayed a lot of believe in me.”

In his own words, what type of player is Oregon getting in Jamari Phillips?

“I’d like to say my game is a lot of bucket getting and playmaking. I like to play with pace and really get up and down the floor.”

Phillips has a message for Duck fans.

“Can’t wait to come and turn Eugene up!”
