WATCH: Anthony Brown expands Ducks’ lead with 43-yard touchdown run
Oregon quarterback Anthony Brown has yet to make a scoring play with his arm, so he turned to his legs to get additional points on the board for the Ducks on Saturday against UCLA.
On a quarterback keeper early in the fourth quarter, Brown broke off a 43-yard scamper into the end zone thanks to superb blocking.
At this point it looked like the Ducks had blown the game open at 34-17, but UCLA is still fighting. They trail 34-31 midway through the fourth quarter. Oregon’s last five possessions have been touchdowns or turnovers. Kris Hutson fumbled the ball after making a seven-yard catch prior to the 43-yard score, and Brown threw an interception on Oregon’s following possession.
Brown finished 29-for-39 with 296 yards through the air and two interceptions. He was the team’s leading rusher yardage with six carries for 85 yards. Travis Dye was on fire, posting four touchdowns on the day. He had just 35 total yards.
Four different Oregon receivers had at least four catches, and seven different pass catchers had a reception of at least 10 yards.

Ducks hold on in Pasadena
Oregon survived its third late-game scare this year. The Ducks have now played five one-possession games.
In the waning moment of the game, DJ James intercepted UCLA backup quarterback Ethan Garbers to seal the win. It was James’ second interception of the game. Entering Saturday’s game, he had zero career interceptions.
UCLA starter Dorian Thompson-Robinson was out with an injury suffered late in the fourth quarter. He was 22-for-41 with 216 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He rushed for a touchdown as well, his third consecutive game with a score on the ground.
Oregon moves to 6-1 and faces Colorado next weekend. The Ducks have beaten the Buffaloes seven of the last eight times.
