Big Ten announces Oregon's 2024-28 conference schedule
Next season, the Big Ten is going to be expanding with the addition of four teams from the Pac-12, including USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington. The four of them will make it so the conference goes from coast to coast, with schools from New Jersey to California.
Beginning in 2024, there will be a new scheduling model within the Big Ten. That means that the conference is going to get rid of division, attempt to protect classic rivalries, and make sure that every athlete will play at every school over a four-year period. That means some rivalries will be played annually while the other conference opponents will rotate more frequently than in divisions within the nine-game conference schedule.
One of those teams that is joining the conference and prompting the change is Oregon. The Ducks are off to a hot start in 2023, the last season they’ll compete in the Pac-12. Going forward, they’ll hope to continue that success within the Big Ten.

Oregon will continue to play Washington as an annual opponent in the Big Ten. The schedule has the Ducks hosting the Huskies in their first Big Ten season, then trading home-field advantage every season after that moving forward. Oregon’s other two Pac-12 opponents jumping to the Big Ten, USC and UCLA, both make multiple appearances on the schedule but aren’t annual opponents.

Road trips to Rutgers and Maryland will be the longest for Oregon. On top of that the Ducks will need to contest with a road trip to Michigan in its first season as a Big Ten member. A year later, Oregon will go to Penn State, for a possible White Out Game, before traveling to Ohio State in their third season in the conference.
Notably, the Big Ten plays nine conference games. That creates an uneven number of home and away games each season for Oregon. The schedule flips back and forth each season, starting with five home games in 2024 for the Ducks.
