Bo Nix addresses his trash-talking ability
Bo Nix has a unique trash talking ability on the field, so the Oregon quarterback says. He basically echoed his teammate’s comments which were rave reviews of Nix’s trash talking.
Nix made sure to tell local reporters he didn’t curse while trash talking. Most of the time, he lets his play do the talking and is very good at counter trash talk.
Essentially, don’t try it on Nix because he’s very good at one upping whatever one liner you throw at him on the field.
“Well, I won’t back down from it,” Nix said. “I don’t really start it but if they want to start it I don’t mind finishing it … Yeah, see, like, I don’t cuss or anything … It’s just I take what they say and just kind of, you know, remind them that we’re still gonna attack them on offense or we’re still gonna go after them. And a lot of times my guys back me up so that’s a good thing.”
Nix’s play in 2022 backed up whatever trash talk he threw at players last season. He finished with his best numbers: 3,593 yards, 29 touchdowns, seven interceptions, a 71.9% completion percentage, 510 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns.
Over the course of his career with Auburn and Oregon, Nix has 10,844 yards, 68 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, a 62.9% completion percentage, 1,379 rushing yards and 32 rushing touchdowns.
As a member of the Class of 2019, Nix was a five-star recruit out of Pinson (Ala.) Scottsboro School, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 3 overall prospect in the state, the No. 2 quarterback in the class and the No. 32 overall prospect in the class.

Bo Nix has epic trash talk, will it translate in 2023?
Bo Nix could’ve gone to the NFL Draft back in the spring, but he chose to run it back with his team one last time.
This year, Nix and the Ducks are driven to compete for the Pac-12 title and earn a spot in the national championship. And he outlined the challenges Oregon will face in 2023 on the road to achieving their goal.
“Well, you know, we play in a very tough conference. We play a lot of good football teams,” Nix said. “It’s not gonna be easy. The road is going to be filled with many challenges, many great teams, but at the end of the day, we feel like, you know, we can be that team to beat as well and we’re going to be confident going into the season.
“We just got to do what we do best. We have to be a really disciplined football team, play collectively as a group, continue to grow each and every week, build connection on our team and we know we have a chance to get there along with, obviously, great competition.”
