Joe Brady is dispelling rumors of reports that he’s joining the Oregon Ducks coaching staff.

While the idea that the former LSU and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator and current Buffalo Bills quarterbacks coach could join the Ducks as their new offensive coordinator has been floating around, Brady told Bruce Feldman of FOX and The Athletic that there’s no truth to it.

“There’s a report out there this morning that Bills QB coach Joe Brady, the former LSU passing game coordinator, is positioned to accept an offer to become Oregon’s OC,” tweeted Feldman. “He told me it’s NOT true: ‘Not happening.'”

Brady rose to prominence when he helped Joe Burrow to a historic season with the Tigers, and quickly parlayed it into a gig at the NFL level with the Panthers. However, it didn’t work out as he planned, and he was fired by former Carolina coach Matt Rhule from his post.

Since, Brady has been rebuilding his resume while working with superstar Bills quarterback Josh Allen, biding his time until his next opportunity. Time will tell when it comes, but it looks like it won’t be at Oregon.

Arizona State officially announces Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham as its next head football coach

Moreover, the interest in Joe Brady comes after Arizona State has found their new head football coach in Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham.

Last Sunday, Arizona State took to Twitter to announce the exciting news for the program.

“Sun Devil nation, please welcome ASU graduate Kenny Dillingham back to the desert,” tweeted Arizona State. “Welcome home Coach!”

It’s the first head coaching opportunity for the 32-year old coach. After starting his collegiate coaching career as an offensive assistant under then Arizona State offensive coordinator Mike Norvell — who he followed to Memphis and later was hired by at Florida State — he then also held the position of offensive coordinator at Auburn and his during most recent stop at Oregon, which he parlayed into his new head coaching gig.

Now, he’ll hope to rebuild an Arizona State program that has been dealing with the fallout of a disappointing tenure under Herm Edwards.
