Colorado transfer Keeshawn Barthelemy commits to Oregon
Colorado transfer Keeshawn Barthelemy has committed to Oregon, he told On3 on Monday.
The 6-foot-2 guard averaged 11.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists as a sophomore last season for the Buffaloes.
“I chose Oregon because they were one of the schools that recruited me the hardest and they presented an opportunity for me to achieve my dreams in the long run,” Barthelemy said to On3.
Having the opportunity to play alongside his former AAU teammate and fellow Canadian, Quincy Guerrier, was too much for Barthelemy to pass up.
“The fact that I know QG (Quincy Guerrier) is coming back as well made it easier for me to want to go there. We already had chemistry playing on Brookwood Elite years ago and we had the opportunity to team up again. It was hard to say no to that.”

The opportunity to win at a high level and prepare for the pros was most attractive to Barthelemy.
“The winning culture they have over there is second to none,” he continued. “They’re right there competing in the Pac-12 every single season and they always play on the big stage.
“Lastly, they’ve produced a ton of pros over the past few seasons and I feel like my game matched with their player development could get me where I ultimately wanna be.”
The Ducks are coming off a 20-15 season where they finished 11-9 in Pac-12 play, finishing the year sixth in the conference.
