Former Indiana OL Matthew Bedford flips commitment from Colorado, transfers to Oregon
Matthew Bedford has de-committed from Colorado and will play for Oregon in 2024, he announced in a statement posted to X. The offensive lineman previously played at Indiana this past season.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to the University of Colorado and their amazing coach, coaching staff, and community for their support and belief in me,” Bedford wrote. “The Colorado organization is so amazing that I made a decision too hastily before weighing all of my options.
“However, upon reflection, I believe that the University of Oregon aligns perfectly with my long-term goals and I am thrilled to join the Oregon Ducks and contribute my best on and off the football field. I’m immensely thankful for everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. The encouragement l’ve received has been a driving force, and I’m excited about the new chapter ahead.”
Matthew Bedford played high school football at Cordova (TN) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 820 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
