Former Kansas State safety Kobe Savage commits to Oregon
Former Kansas State safety Kobe Savage has selected a new home after entering the transfer portal, committing to the Oregon Ducks for the 2024 season.
Savage was one of the Big 12’s top defensive backs over his last two seasons in Manhattan, and recorded 115 tackles and six interceptions combined during his time with K-State. But the road to such success wasn’t so easy.
Kobe Savage is a Texas native and attended Paris High School in Tyler, TX, committing to Texas A&M Commerce after graduating. He only spent one year in little Commerce, which he redshirted, before back home to play for Tyler Junior College.
He played two seasons for the Hawks and earned status as a three-star JUCO recruit in the On3 Industry Rankings, which helped get him the opportunity at Kansas State. Obviously, he knocked that out of the park and was able to to earn a scholarship with a national title contender in Euegene for next season.
