Four-Star DL Ashton Porter commits to Oregon
Four-star defensive lineman Ashton Porter of Cypress (TX) Cy Ranch High announced his commitment to Oregon Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-4, 240 pounder chose the Ducks over Washington.
Porter on why he chose Oregon
“I’ll say Coach Lanning and what he did at Georgia stood out to me,” Porter said. “Coach Tash, the DC, developed a TE into a DE and now he is going to the draft. Also Oregon has been my dream school ever since I was young. I want to design cleats when I get older and that played a pig part in my decision.”
Relationship with coaching staff + goals at Oregon
“I’m really close with coach Tash and he wants me to play edge / outside linebacker,” Porter said. “My goals are going to win a Natty and make a difference at Oregon early.”
