Kansas City (Mo.) Raytown offensive tackle Logan Reichert has been a prime target for Oregon since head coach Dan Lanning took over. And the Ducks’ efforts are paying off, with Reichert announcing Tuesday evening on Instagram that he will take an official visit to Oregon on June 18.

Reichert is the No. 373 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 24 offensive tackle and the No. 11 junior prospect in the state of Missouri.

Oregon spring game atmosphere impressed Logan Reichert

Reichert recently announced a top eight of LSU, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Missouri, Michigan, Tennessee and Oregon. His trip to Oregon for its spring game last month was his first time on campus and also the first time he had the full coaching staff in person.

“What stood out to me at the Spring Game was how everything went with a brand new coaching staff,” he told ScoopDuck. “It’s impressive how great the atmosphere was given they only started four months ago together.”

The Ducks have been heavily recruiting the Kansas City area — including Reichert — since Lanning started in January. Oregon’s head man is a native Kansas Citian and coached at the high school level there before entering the college ranks.

“They have recruited Kansas City before, but never like this,” a veteran Big 12 coach told On3. “The high school coaches in the area love Coach Lanning. Coach Jones is one of the most respected coaches in the area, too. So, I fully expect them to be a thorn in the side for a lot of us local coaches.”

Lanning and Co. have offered a number of top area prospects, including four-star EDGE Chandavian Bradley, four-star offensive tackle Cayden Green, four-star EDGE Adepoju Adebawore, and four-star defensive lineman Edric Hill. Lanning even offered some top 2024 targets like defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri andlinebacker Melvin Laster.

Home state Missouri is expected to be among the main contenders for Reichert’s ultimate commitment. And he plans to take each of his official visits this summer and into the fall before making his decision.
