Four-Star OT Jac'Qawn McRoy commits to Oregon

Four-star offensive tackle Jac’Qawn McRoy of Pinson (AL) Clay-Chalkville High announced his commitment to Oregon Saturday afternoon.

The 6-foot-8, 365 pounder chose the Ducks over Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Kentucky.

“The facility and an early opportunity to play stood out,” McRoy said. “And the young coaching staff with Alique Terry.”

“I’m closest with coach Terry and he plans on using me at right tackle and plans to develop me and play at the same time.”

The Alabama offensive lineman joins coach Dan Lanning and the Ducks’ top 10 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by four-star wide receiver Jordan Anderson, four-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims, and others.

McRoy ranks as the No. 190 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 16 offensive tackle and the No. 11 player in the state of Alabama.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $69K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
