Four-star safety Aaron Flowers of Forney (TX) High announced his commitment to Oregon Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-1, 185 pounder chose the Ducks over USC and Oklahoma.

Flowers on why he chose Oregon

“Oregon just felt like a better connection there,” Flowers said. “Just looking at it I saw myself more comfortably at Oregon and more at peace there. It just felt right.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for Flowers

“My relationship with the staff is amazing,” Flower said. “They’ve been hammering down on me. Coach Lanning sees me as a dude to come there and make a difference. Coach Hampton really sees me making a difference early on and trying to develop me into a NFL talent.”

The Lone Star State defensive back joins coach Lanning and the Ducks’ Top 12 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by Jordan Anderson, Tyseer Denmark, and others.

Aaron Flowers Scouting Summary

“Versatile defensive back who lines up at both corner and safety but projects at the latter long-term,” On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “Measured at around 6-feet, 180 pounds in the spring prior to his junior season. Has plus length for the position with a 6-foot-4 wing-span. Has high-end agility, consistently posting shuttle times under 4.2 seconds. Displays good range in coverage when working as a two high safety. Has the ability to line up in man coverage on the outside or in the slot. Plays with a physical presence as a tackler and run defender, driving through ball carriers. Quicker than fast and can continue to improve his fluidity and lower body flexibility. Younger for the cycle with a spring birthday.”

Flowers ranks as the No. 115 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 10 safety and the No. 20 player in the state of Texas.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $99K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
