Former Georgia wide receiver George Pickens is currently at the NFL Combine showcasing his skills for the many scouts and teams on hand as he looks to improve his draft stock ahead of the 2022 NFL Draft.

While Pickens – a former On3 Consensus five-star recruit – is participating in many different events at the NFL Combine, he also fielded a wide variety of questions from reporters this week. Of the many things he was asked about, one question was focused on another big-name college football player: quarterback Bo Nix.

Nix, a former four-star prospect in the On3 Consensus, began his collegiate career at Auburn and is now preparing for his first season at Oregon. Pickens was asked about Nix and how he feels the quarterback will fit in with the Ducks, who are now led by former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning.

“Bo Nix is actually — he’s a great quarterback, to be honest,” Pickens said. “He could be here right now also. And the people at Oregon, I think they should just pull out the best in him. He’s already got a good motor ahead of him, he’s got a good mindset, type of way he carries himself — he carries himself real private, offline person. And I feel like Oregon, that’s the school for him. I feel like that should’ve been the first choice.”

Nix – a 6-foot-3, 214-pound quarterback – was solid in his three seasons at Auburn, throwing for 7,251 yards and 19 touchdowns and rushing for 869 yards and 18 more scores. Now, Nix is expected to be Oregon’s starter coming into the 2022 season.

Oregon edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux reveals interesting comparison for himself at NFL Combine

Coming into the season, Oregon Ducks edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux was viewed as the top prospect in the 2022 NFL Draft. Now, as the draft process continues to trek on, Thibodeaux’s stock might not be as high as it once was. Regardless, Thibodeaux remains confident in himself and his abilities.

At the NFL Combine, Thibodeaux had a bold and interesting comparison for himself, putting himself right there with a former top overall selection.

“I feel like I’m Jadeveon [Clowney] 2.0,” Thibodeaux said, via The Draft Network’s Kyle Crabbs.
