5-star OT Jordan Seaton sets Oregon official visit

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton is ready for the next stop on his fall visit tour and will head to Oregon for an official visit this weekend, he tells On3’s Josh Newberg.
Seaton, the top uncommitted prospect in the 2024 class, is coming off an official visit to Florida the weekend of October 7 and has also made stops at Tennessee, Colorado and Alabama this fall.
“Being able to make a trip to my dream school is amazing first visit, but it’s not my first interaction with coaches,” he told Newberg. “Their message to me is ‘the red carpet will be laid out,’ so let’s see.'”
Earlier this fall, Seaton had plans for a full slate of unofficial and official visits going all the way through December. But after some more though, he took those dates off the calendar and has been going week-by-week through the process and adding visits back.
In addition to the aforementioned teams, South Carolina, Ohio State and a handful of others are still in the mix for the five-star. He will likely take his decision to the Early Signing Period in December, but knows what will ultimately help him make his decision.

“For me, it is about relationships and development,” Seaton told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons last month. “I will rely on those a lot when it comes time to pick the best school. NIL will play a small part too, and player compensation is something I am looking at, but it is not what I will base my decision on. I need to have that relationship with the coach and the staff and feel good about the environment. That is what is most important.”
Jordan Seaton Recruiting Profile
The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder is the No. 19 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle recruit and the No. 4 player in the Sunshine State.
He was one of the country’s biggest rankings risers over the past few months, ascending to No. 7 in the most recent On300 rankings. On3’s Scouting and Rankings Director Charles Power wrote this about what has made him such a dominant force this fall:
“Offensive tackle Jordan Seaton (No. 7) was an easy call to earn his fifth-star after turning in a very strong start. The 6-foot-5, 295-pounder transferred from Washington (D.C.) St. John’s to IMG Academy for his senior season and has shown to be the most technically advanced offensive tackle in the cycle to this point. Seaton’s high level of skill is readily apparent both on film and in person. He plays with advanced awareness and coordination. The inherent feel for leverage combines with strong hands that stymie pass rushers on contact. He plays with control and balance. We also like Seaton’s physicality and nasty on-field demeanor. We view the new five-star as a high-floor prospect with the ability to get on the field early in his college career.”
