WATCH: Oregon linebacker DJ Johnson punches Oregon State fan during field storm

Oregon had a chance to clinch their spot in the Pac-12 Championship on Saturday but instead, found themselves on the losing end of a rivalry matchup. Oregon State got another Civil War victory over the Ducks, getting a second over the last three years. To no surprise, emotions were high and that was shown during the postgame.
Oregon State fans rushed the field to celebrate the win, pulling off an incredible comeback. One walked by Oregon linebacker D.J. Johnson while has was being escorted by staff members to the locker room. The fan must have said something causing Johnson to react and throw a punch.

People walking with Johnson were able to get him away from the fan and walk away from the incident. Understandably, they were not too thrilled with the situation, reacting toward Johnson in an upset manner.

Johnson is in his fifth season of college football, originally being a member of the 2017 recruiting class. He went to Miami coming out of high school but transferred out back to the Pacific Northwest after just one season in Coral Gables. Since then, he’s been an important player for the Ducks under multiple head coaches.

In 11 games played this season, Johnson has recorded 39 tackles and 8.5 tackles for a loss. Add in six sacks and he is the leader on the Ducks’ defense. Johnson has defended two passes as well when dropping into coverage.
For now, there have been no statements from Johnson, head coach Dan Lanning, or anybody involved with the Oregon program. The video is circulating around social media, mainly on Twitter. You would have to think something would come out sooner rather than later.
