The Oregon Ducks are going “back to the basics” with their Senior Day jerseys this week. With an in-state rivalry against Oregon State looming, and a Platypus Trophy on the line, the team announced what threads they will wear Saturday.

Coming off a disappointing road loss against Utah, the Ducks must set College Football Playoff talk aside and focus on reaching the Pac-12 Championship game for a rematch with the Utes. They’re spot is not guaranteed, with a revitalized Oregon State program dreaming big at 5-3 in the conference, just one game behind 6-2 Oregon.

The Ducks lead the all-time series 66-10-48 over Oregon State, and held a three-game win streak before last season’s loss. Each team’s longest win streak is eight, with the last set of consecutive wins for Oregon State coming in 2006 and 2007.

Oregon vs Oregon State kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN. Oregon enters as seven-point favorite with an over/under set at 61 and a Senior Day edge.

Anthony Brown on Senior Day

The Oregon Ducks knocked themselves out of College Football Playoff contention with last week’s loss to Utah. They will get their shot at revenge in the Pac-12 Championship game, but first they need to take their anger out on their in-state rival. Oregon has won three of the past five games, but Oregon State took last year’s version.

For the Oregon seniors, Saturday’s game will be their final time playing at Autzen Stadium. Before the game, quarterback Anthony Brown wrote a letter to Ducks fan, thanking them for their support over the past two seasons.

“Thank you Oregon,” Brown said. “This was a dream come true. It wasn’t exactly how I dreamed it to be, but I appreciate every experience and every person that I had the opportunity to come in contact with. All of this has elevated me as a man holistically. I will forever be grateful and appreciative of it all. To the ones who came before me, thank you — and the ones who will come after me, always give 110% and reach back to support and help others! Thank you to my brothers, coaches, and the entire Duck family.”

Brown, who is a Boston College transfer, has been in Eugune for two seasons and was the starter this year. He’s completed 62.9% of his passes, throwing for 2,270 yards, 14 touchdowns, and four interceptions. The Ducks are 9-2 on the season and have won every game at home this season.
