Louisville transfer TE Jamari Johnson commits to Oregon, Dan Lanning
Former Louisville tight end Jamari Johnson committed to transfer to Oregon, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Johnson will have three years of eligibility remaining.
As a redshirt freshman, Johnson ranked sixth on the Cardinals’ roster with 13 receptions for 158 yards and one touchdown in seven games this past season.
Johnson joins an Oregon offense that led the Big Ten averaging 449.8 yards of total offense in its first season in the league, while also ranking second in scoring (35.9 points per game) and passing offense (278 yards per game).
Johnson is the fourth transfer to commit to Oregon since the portal opened on Dec. 9, joining defensive backs Theran Johnson and Dillon Theineman, and offensive lineman Alex Harkey.
As a member of the Class of 2023, Salter was a four-star recruit out of Inglewood (Calif.) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 26 overall prospect in the state, the No. 10 athlete in the class and the No. 344 overall prospect in the class.

Johnson’s 2024 season was prematurely ended by an ankle injury suffered in a 52-45 loss to Miami on Oct. 19.
“He’ll be out for the year,” Brohm said.
After not appearing at all last season, he was their top target at tight end prior to his injury.
Alex Harkey commits to Oregon out of portal
Harkey will add to the Oregon depth on the offensive line and could be a big contributor next season. As of December 18th though, the Ducks are focusing on the College Football Playoff and trying to win a national championship.
Following a 13-0 record and Big Ten title, head coach Dan Lanning couldn’t have been more proud of his players.
“I don’t have a lot to say except how proud I am of these guys,” Lanning said. “We’ve talked about moments this year where guys had to put each other on their back and I thought the offense did an unbelievable job, thought the defense made a critical stop when it mattered most.
“That offense is really hard to stop and it was a battle so I’m really proud of our players.”
