3-star QB Luke Moga locks in Oregon official visit
Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope three-star quarterback Luke Moga was set to announce his commitment later this week, but opted to give himself more time by delaying his decision.
The coveted passer now has his first official visit scheduled; he’ll trip to Oregon June 16-18.
“I just like those people there,” Moga told On3 in February. “Obviously, the resources and facilities there are the best in the country. I like how down-to-earth the staff is and I’ll definitely be back soon, I think.”
The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder is one of two quarterbacks the Ducks are trending for right now on the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).
In addition to Moga, Oregon is also pursuing Bowie (Md.) four-star quarterback Michael Van Buren, who visited earlier this month and is expected back for the Ducks’ spring game.
Connections at multiple programs stand out to Luke Moga
Earlier this spring, Moga broke down a few of the other programs pursuing him the most and what stood out about them.

BYU: “They have a good system that makes it really quarterback-friendly. They always have a great offensive line and good, big receivers to throw downfield (to), so I think that’s something to look out for there.”
Arizona State: “We’ve [me and Coach Dillingham] built a really strong connection. I’m texting with him all the time. What he’s done at the different schools and with Jordan Travis, he wants to win and he wants to do it centered around the quarterback, so it’s obviously a really strong appeal to me.”
Miami: “The culture of the Miami football program and the resources, obviously being a great academic school. That’s one of the places I’ve seen… that puts you in a position to be set up for life after football.”
