On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Oregon heavily trending for 3-star QB Luke Moga
Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope three-star quarterback Luke Moga is announcing his commitment on April 28. He will decide between Oregon, Miami, TCU, BYU, Michigan State and Arizona State.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Ducks have a commanding lead for Moga’s commitment at 89.9%. Oregon’s odds rose exponentially following an expert prediction from Justin Hopkins of Scoop Duck.
“Will Stein got to Oregon and identified a few early QB targets in the 2024 cycle,” Hopkins said. “One of those was Luke Moga. While Moga is far from a finished product, he’s got elite athleticism, which makes him a very good fit for Stein’s offense. Since offering, Oregon has prioritized Moga, which has put them in a favorable spot for his commitment.”
Moga is the No. 574 overall prospect and No. 30 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 11 player in Arizona.
On3 rates Moga higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2024 On300, Moga is the No. 20 quarterback in the country and No. 8 player in Arizona.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound signal-caller last visited Oregon on Jan. 20. He is scheduled to return to Eugene on April 22.

“I just like those people there,” Moga told On3’s Chad Simmons on Feb. 15. “Obviously, the resources and facilities there are the best in the country. I like how down-to-earth the staff is and I’ll definitely be back soon, I think.”

Moga would mark another QB recruiting win for Will Stein
Getting Moga into the fold will once again demonstrate Stein’s ability to recruit talented quarterbacks. Last cycle, Oregon lost a commitment from Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King Five-Star Plus+ signal-caller Dante Moore, who flipped to UCLA. The Ducks and Stein responded by flipping Dripping Springs (Texas) four-star Austin Novosad from Baylor.
Additionally, it will be a big recruiting win for Oregon if Moga chooses head coach Dan Lanning and his staff. The Ducks’ 2024 recruiting class already ranks No. 10 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12.
Oregon already has commitments from two top-125 wide receivers in Newport Beach (Calif.) Newport Harbor four-star wide receiver Jordan Anderson and Philadelphia (Penn.) Roman Catholic four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark. Medford (Ore.) North Medford three-star tight end A.J. Pugliano is another pass-catcher pledged to the Ducks.
