On300 4-star receiver Kevin Coleman to visit Oregon this weekend
Oregon continues to examine receiver targets in the 2022 class, which explains why Kevin Coleman’s official visit this weekend is an important one for the Ducks.
The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – rates Coleman as the No. 64 player in the country and the seventh-best receiver in the country.
Coleman already visited Florida State. He will be at USC next weekend. Alabama and Arizona State are other schools Coleman has mentioned as possible visit candidates in the past.
Coleman is the only known official visitor for the Ducks this weekend.
Oregon still searching for WR answers like Kevin Coleman
Justin Hopkins with On3’s Scoop Duck did an in-depth analysis of Oregon’s remaining recruiting targets, and the receiver board is interesting.
“The Ducks are done recruiting several position groups in this cycle,” he wrote. “You won’t see any names in the quarterback, running back and tight end groups.”

But wide receiver is one spot to keep an eye on.
Oregon already has On3 Consensus four-stars Tetairoa McMillan and Stephon Johnson. They’re both a key part of its class that ranks at No. 11 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rank.
However, the Ducks are still searching for another player or two at the position, Hopkins said. Kevin Coleman and Darrius Clemons, a four-star from Portland’s Westview, are the prime targets.
“Clemons visited last weekend and has Oregon among his top group,” Hopkins said. “Coleman is expected on campus this weekend. He’ll be one to watch. I don’t know if Oregon takes both of its remaining targets or not. I feel pretty confident they will sign at least one of those two names.”
Oregon has the top-ranked class in the Pac 12 Conference. The Ducks are just outside the top 10 with 91.265 points, behind North Carolina at 91.390 points. USC, which is looking for a new head coach, is the next closest Pac 12 team at No. 15.
