Oregon starting cornerback Jahlil Florence will miss the Ducks’ Pac-12 Championship Game with the Washington Huskies, according to Jarrid Denney of ScoopDuck.com. Dontae Manning is expected to start in his place.

Denney also noted that Nikko Reed and Trikweze Bridges could see some snaps as well.

The Oregon defense has been a strength for the Ducks all season, and will need to perform at the peak of its powers against the highly-touted Washington wide receivers.

Oregon drops epic hype video ahead of Pac-12 title clash

It all comes down to this. A rematch between Oregon and Washington for not only the 2023 Pac-12 Championship, but a potential spot in the upcoming College Football Playoffs. Ahead of Friday night’s highly anticipated rematch between the Huskies and Ducks, Oregon dropped an epic hype video.

In classic Dan Lanning fashion, he delivers yet another fiery and impassioned speech to get his team fired up for the big game. He let his team know, “We are the storm!” Not that anyone would really need a speech to get them fired up for this one.

Washington won the first matchup between the two teams in a 36-33 classic of a football game.

In 2022, the Huskies also beat Oregon 37-34 in yet another classic. It was one of the best games of the 2022 season. College football fans across the country are hoping for the same yet again on Friday night in Las Vegas. The game is being played in Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders. Kick time is slated for 8:00 PM EST and it will be televised nationally on ABC.

The game will feature two of the nation’s most prolific offensive attacks and two of the nation’s best coaching staffs. Oregon quarterback Bo Nix and Washington quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. have lit up the scoreboard for the past two seasons.

They’re both two of the nation’s leading Heisman Trophy contenders for a reason.

The Oregon offense has averaged over 45 points per game, ranking them second in the nation in that stat. The Washington offense has put up 38 points per game, ranking them 11th in the nation.

Friday night’s matchup should be yet another classic.

Not only is it one of the biggest games in Pac-12 history, but it also happens to be the final send off before many members of the conference go their separate ways in 2024.

The winner of Friday night’s Pac-12 Championship Game clash will not only claim supremacy in the conference, but they could potentially claim a spot in the 2023 College Football Playoffs. We won’t know for certain until Sunday morning, December 3rd, at noon.

Oregon is currently ranked fifth in the nation with a 11-1 overall record. Their only loss came to the Huskies. Washington is currently ranked third in the nation with an unblemished 12-0 overall record.

Let’s hope Friday night’s game is yet another classic between the two teams and they give the Pac-12 Conference the sendoff it deserves.
