Oregon coach Dan Lanning celebrates massive signing day for Ducks

Oregon was easily one of the biggest winners on National Signing Day, and head coach Dan Lanning wanted celebrate accordingly.

With Ice Cube’s ‘It Was a Good Day’ blasting behind him, Lanning tweeted out a video of himself vibing to the song and smoking a cigar to cap off what was a huge day for the Ducks.

The day started off with Dripping Springs (Texas) four-star quarterback Austin Novosad flipping from Washington and signing with the Ducks to fill the hole five-star quarterback Dante Moore left after he flipped to UCLA.

Oregon would go on to sign Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco five-star defensive lineman Matayo Uiagalelei and Palo Alto (Calif.) Menlo-Atherton five-star receiver Jurrion Dickey.

The Ducks also flipped a pair of Notre Dame commitments in Denton (Texas) Guyer five-star safety Peyton Bowen and Lake Stevens (Wash.) four-star running back Jayden Limar. Bowen has yet to sign with the Ducks but Limar has.

Oregon started the day at No. 14 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, but currently sit in the No. 7 slot. They also remain in contention for Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman David Hicks. Hicks is a Texas A&M commitment, who has yet to sign his letter of intent.
