Oregon hasn’t played at its usual level as of late – especially on Thursday night. Taking on an eight-win Arizona State team, the Ducks registered one of their worst performances of the season and suffered a humiliating 81-57 loss, which dropped them to 17-9 overall with a 10-5 mark in Pac-12 play.

Although Arizona State controlled the style of the game from start to finish, Oregon was down just 36-30 at halftime and had a chance to put together a better performance in the second half. However, the Ducks did the exact opposite – instead being outscored 45-27 to ultimately suffer the 24-point defeat.

Following the loss, Oregon head coach Dana Altman met with the media for his postgame press conference and didn’t hold back comments on his team’s performance, according to Matt Prehm of 247Sports.

“Dana Altman says he’s probably going to get a lot of calls and texts from past players and coaches about this game and the disconnect with the players and system,” Prehm wrote on Twitter.

Oregon’s loss to Arizona State was its second in its past three games, as the Ducks also fell to Cal last Saturday. The schedule doesn’t get any easier for Altman’s club, either, as they are scheduled to play at No. 3 ranked Arizona on Saturday. That game is set to tipoff at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.

College basketball, NCAA Tournament bubble watch

ESPN broke down how the bubble situation looks heading into another week of games. They separated teams in each conference by locks, should be in, and work to do. Here is the full bubble breakdown for the Pac-12.

Pac-12

Locks: UCLA, Arizona

Should be in: USC

Work to do: Oregon

Arizona, USC, and UCLA have been the class of the Pac-12 all season, competing for the regular-season championship. Oregon was seemingly set to be a lock for the NCAA Tournament, but a couple of head-scratching losses have dropped the Ducks to a tier below. However, with wins over the Bruins and Trojans, it should be a four-bid year for the Pac-12 on Selection Sunday.
