Oregon Ducks mascot attempts to get into Illinois, Northwestern football stadiums
The Oregon Ducks mascot, Puddles, has been no stranger to funny business on social media over the years. With the school making their official move to the Big Ten this fall, the Ducks mascot has decided to up his antics a bit on Twitter the past few weeks. Puddles has decided to go on a tour of getting into all the different stadiums across in the Big Ten.
And on Saturday night, the mascot posted pictures of them trying to get into the Illinois and Northwestern stadiums.
Then there’s the picture of the duck trying to get into Northwestern’s Stadium, which is currently under construction.
The duck is one of the more dynamic marketing pieces across the college sports landscape, and the school doesn’t mind putting it to good use.
Head coach Dan Lanning is a big fan of Oregon’s innovation after all. That’s a big hat tip to the marketing team.
“I’ve said it a few times, but it’s kind of like the first day of school, you don’t want to just walk in with new shoes, right,” Lanning said. “We certainly want to come in and make a splash and I think our marketing team does an unbelievable job of making sure that Oregon’s recognized nationally. They’ve always done a good job from a branding standpoint.

”But we have to go out there and win games that has very little to do with that but it creates excitement for our fans and certainly excitement for the Big Ten and Oregon joining that.”
The Oregon Duck is going to be a menace for all teams in the Big Ten, isn’t he?
Oregon is dripping with talent rolling into the 2024 campaign
Expectations are high for the Oregon Ducks in the Big Ten. In the initial Big Ten media poll, Oregon was ranked second and alongside Ohio State was one of only two schools in the conference that received first-place votes.
On top of all of that, both quarterback Dillon Gabriel and Lanning have been honored after being voted the Preseason Offensive Player of the Year and Lanning was voted the Preseason Big Ten Coach of the Year.
The Ducks return a loaded roster that has weapons all over the place, including wideout Tez Johnson, who was named preseason first team All-Big Ten by Phil Steele. They’ve got a number of defenders that made his preseason second team All-Big Ten list, as well as wideout Evan Stewart and tight end Terrance Ferguson. Stewart was rated as a five-star+ prospect, according to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2022 cycle.
