LOOK: Oregon Ducks unveil uniforms ahead of Week 10 matchup vs Colorado Buffaloes
The Oregon Ducks are playing like one of the hottest teams in college football. They currently sit at No. 8 in the latest version of the College Football Playoff Rankings. This weekend Bo Nix and company will prepare to face off against the Colorado Buffaloes as they travel to Boulder, Colorado for the matchup. Check out the uniforms they’ll be wearing this weekend, the eggshell uniforms.
They’ll be rocking the eggshell tops this week. The eggshell jerseys were first worn in the 2021 college football season on Oct. 23 against UCLA.
The green speckles on the jerseys are inspired by the speckled eggs that some ducks lay.
Below is an excellent description of the uniforms from On3’s Tim Verghese: “Featuring an iridescent helmet that shifts between matte dark green and black, Oregon’s new uniforms are unique from head to toe. The jerseys feature green-black iridescent numbers.” The helmets are described as the color–nightmare green.

Simply put, Oregon quarterback Bo Nix has been a man on a mission lately and he’s played like a completely different quarterback from years past. He currently ranks No. 2 in the nation in total touchdowns (31). Nix also leads all Pac-12 players in rushing touchdowns (11). The dual-threat quarterback also currently has the third-most rushing touchdowns by an Oregon quarterback.

After the Georgia game, this Oregon team has rebounded and in a big way. They absolutely throttled the UCLA Bruins last weekend with a 45-30 victory that was never really close. The Ducks used an onside kick to take control of the game in the second quarter and they never relinquished their advantage. Oregon led the game 31-13 at halftime and the Bruins could never really find a way to close the gap.
Since getting their doors blown off by Georgia, Oregon has rattled off seven straight wins and their only close call this season came against the Washington State Cougars, 44-41.
Oregon and Colorado are set to kick off on Saturday, Nov. 5. The game is slated for 3:30 PM EST.
