NFL Draft expert shares two Oregon players rising up draft boards
Oregon has been impressive early on this season, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.
The Ducks are averaging 51.6 points per game and have scored at least 38 points in every games this year.
It’s no surprise that a couple of Oregon stars are moving up NFL draft boards with the way the Ducks are playing. ESPN draft analyst Jordan Reid recently appeared on the First Draft podcast and was asked for his biggest NFL draft risers since the college football season started. He picked a pair of Oregon Ducks.
“As far as my risers, I’m going to go with two Oregon guys. I think we have to mention Bo Nix at Oregon,” Reid said. “Just because I think a lot of people think of Bo Nix and who he was at Auburn. But this is a completely different player now.”
Nix is completing better than 80 percent of his passes and is averaging 292 passing yards per game. The senior has 15 touchdown passes and has also rushed for a score.

Reid put Nix at No. 11 on his recent NFL draft QB hot board, but he plans on moving him up for his next one.
“Oregon fans came after me at my hot board, but guys, Bo Nix will be higher on the next one. Trust me,” Reid said. “He’s playing some really good ball this year. So I think he’s one player that he’s climbing in league circles, and he’s another name that’s mentioned in that Brock Purdy-like role that a lot of people are going to like as the pre-draft circuit continues on.”
Bo Nix’s favorite target is another player Reid is high on in receiver Troy Franklin. The junior has 32 catches for 535 yards and seven touchdowns so far this season. Franklin has proven that he is a big-play threat every time he touches the ball.
“Another player I want to mention at Oregon is Troy Franklin, the wide receiver, who has been his top target. He’s not mentioned for some reason, outside of Marvin Harrison Jr., of course, in this wide receiver class,” Reid said. “But I think he should be mentioned in that Keon Coleman, Malik Nabers, Rome Odunze [group]. I think he’s right in that tier. A deep threat. He’s had over a 30-yard catch in all five games this year. And he’s playing some really good ball this year. So keep an eye on Troy Franklin from Oregon.”
