Oregon’s on-field success under Dan Lanning continues to translate on the recruiting trail, highlighted by a top-five class nationally in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings in 2024.

The Ducks are now looking to parlay that momentum into 2025, where they hold five early commitments and the No. 6 class in the latest team rankings. Lanning and Co. have already secured their quarterback in Oregon legacy Akili Smith Jr., as well as two elite receiver targets. Now their focus turns to the rest of the offense and defense in the next 10 months.

Below are four major targets the Ducks are trending with in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

4-star LB Nasir Wyatt

School: Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 43
On3 RPM: Oregon 96.7%, USC 1.9%

Intel: “Nasir Wyatt is coming off another successful visit to Oregon. The EDGE out of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei has tripped to Eugene three times and each has been a good visit. Dan Lanning and the staff have done a good job with Wyatt and his family. The Ducks are the early favorite. He is not expected to make a decision until after he takes official visits.” – Chad Simmons, On3 Director of Recruiting

4-star WR Isaiah Mozee

School: Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 107
On3 RPM: Oklahoma 63.3%, Oregon 29.3%, Missouri 1.7%

Intel: “I think Oregon has been the team to beat for quite some time with Isaiah Mozee. And the latest visit only reinforced Oregon’s position. They will have to hold off Oklahoma, Missouri and others for the four-star playmaker. However we know Junior Adams has hit the mark with his last few targets. Also Oregon has two receivers committed already and if you want a spot, you may need to lock it up sooner than later.” – Justin Hopkins, Publisher of ScoopDuck.com

4-star TE DaSaahn Brame

School: Derby (Kan.)
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 112
On3 RPM: Oregon 93.9%, Kansas State 2.2%

Intel: “I am ready to name Oregon the favorite to land another playmaker on the offensive side of the ball in four-star tight end Dasaahn Brame. The four-star out of Derby (Kan.) will be back in Eugene on Feb. 3 for his third visit. He had a good visit with multiple Oregon coaches, including Lanning and Drew Mehringer and Will Stein.

The Ducks are trending for the No. 113 prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking. He has good relationships with the staff, he likes the fit in the offense and Oregon is setting the pace in this recruitment.” – Chad Simmons, On3 Director of Recruiting

4-star WR Cooper Perry

School: Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep
On3 Industry Ranking: No. 248
On3 RPM: Oregon 95.2%, Notre Dame 1.3%

Intel: “Cooper Perry is another dynamic wide out that currently ranks in the top 300 of the industry rankings. Although many, like myself, expected Notre Dame to be the heavy favorite, Oregon is the early leader. Perry grew up a huge Oregon fan, remains a huge Oregon fan and Lanning visiting last week cemented Oregon’s place at the top.

Now it’s still early, he’s a 2025 so a lot can happen. But right now Oregon is 100-percent the team to beat in this one and look for Perry to decide if he wants to lock in a spot early at Oregon or wait and potentially miss his chance.” – Justin Hopkins, Publisher of ScoopDuck.com
