Oregon lands commitment from JUCO transfer Brennan Rigsby
Northwest Florida State College transfer Brennan Rigsby tells On3 he’s committed to Oregon basketball for the class of 2022.
This season, the 6-foot-3 combo guard is averaging 11.5 points in just 23 minutes a game. He’s shooting 45% from the field and 36% from three. He will have three years of eligibility remaining.
Prior to choosing the junior college route, Rigsby attended Wasatch (Utah) Academy, where he averaged 9.6 points per game as a senior while playing on a loaded roster. At Wasatch, Rigsby played alongside Gonzaga freshman Nolan Hickman, Texas Tech signee Richard Isaacs Jr., and Ohio State signee Roddy Gayle Jr.
Coming out of high school, Rigsby didn’t really have any collegiate options. He was recruited by East Tennesse State’s Chad Donley, who made the coaching move to Northwest Florida State College, so Rigsby followed.
This time around, the recruiting process for Rigsby was vastly different. The Colorado native picked up offers from Oklahoma, Wichita State, Georgia, and of course, Oregon.

Rigsby breaks down his commitment to Oregon
Rigsby has not yet visited Oregon, but he already knows his future home is in Eugene. He’s excited to visit the Ducks on the 23rd of this month.
“I’m ready to experience it all and I’ll be able to see a game in person, which will be big for me.”
So, why Oregon?
“Oregon has always been a dream school for me,” Rigsby explained. “I really like the coaching staff. They have high regard for me and they really believe in me. They always gave effort and really wanted me the whole time. I really liked that.”
What does Rigsby bring to Oregon?
“Spacing the floor and getting up in transition,” he explained. “I bring a little athleticism to the table and a high IQ.”
Rigsby boasts an eye-popping 40+ inch vertical leap, but says “it could be even higher than that these days.”
His bounce even made the Colorado native go viral during his time at Wasatch.
