Oregon linebacker Emar’rion Winston officially entered the NCAA Transfer Portal on Friday evening, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. This year, he tallied eight tackles for the Ducks. In 2023, he played in all 14 games for the Ducks as a true freshman, earning an 84.6 tackling grade from Pro Football Focus. He made his first career start against Portland State.

Oregon has the No. 1 overall seed in the upcoming 12-team College Football Playoffs. They’ll await the winner of the Ohio State and Tennessee game in the quarterfinals. The Ducks will have a bye in the first round, since they claimed one of the top four overall seeds.

As a freshman in 2022, Winston played in three games for Oregon while redshirting. He played eight total snaps on defense.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2022 cycle, Winston earned a three-star rating and was tabbed as the No. 490 overall prospect for his class. He played for Central Catholic (Portland, Oregon).
