Oregon LB Jaeden Moore enters NCAA transfer portal
Oregon linebacker Jaeden Moore has entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned.
Across two seasons in Eugene, Moore logged eight total tackles and 0.5 sacks for the Ducks. He appeared in five games for Oregon in 2024.
Before commiting to Oregon out of high school, Moore was a three-star recruit in the 2023 class according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
He was the No. 848 overall player in his class and the No. 71 EDGE in his class.
Moore is the latest in a line of Ducks defenders who have decided to hit the portal ahead of Oregon’s venture into the College Football Playoff. He is the fifth Oregon defender to leave the program before the playoff run.

The Ducks are set to take on the winner of the first-round matchup between the Tennessee Volunteers and Ohio State Buckeyes on New Year’s Day. Oregon earned the first-round bye after finishing undefeated during the regular season and defeating a top-three Penn State team 45-37 in the Big Ten Championship game.
Now, Moore is set to find a new college football home for the 2025 season. According to his On3 recruiting page, he held offers from Washington, Cal and Arizona before deciding to spend two seasons with the Ducks.
The portal officially opened on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. More than 2,800 FBS scholarship players entered their names into the NCAA’s transfer database during the 2023-24 school year. Removing those who withdrew or went pro, the final total sat at 2,707 transfers.
That means roughly 25 percent of all FBS scholarship players hit free agency in one year, per On3’s Pete Nakos.
