Oregon offers 4-star S Isaac Smith

It’s been a good night for Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba Agricultural four-star safety Isaac Smith. The 6-foot-1, 190 pound prospect received an offer from Oregon, a little under two hours after earning one from USC.

Smith is the No. 186 overall prospect and No. 12 safety in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Mississippi.

The four-star has received 24 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for Smith’s commitment. Texas A&M is currently leading for his pledge at 32.1%, while Vanderbilt has the next-best odds at 21.3%. Mississippi State has the third-highest chance at 12.3%.

Oregon’s 2023 recruiting class currently contains two safeties in Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman four-star Kodi Decambra and San Antonio (Texas) William J. Brennan three-star Tyler Turner. The Ducks’ group is No. 11 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 in the Pac-12.

Smith has an On3 NIL Valuation of $15.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
