Oregon offers 2024 4-star CB Bryce West

Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville four-star cornerback Bryce West received an offer from Oregon on Tuesday. He announced the news over social media.

West is the No. 35 overall prospect and No. 4 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Ohio.

On3 rates West higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 29 overall prospect in the country.

The 5-foot-11.5, 175-pound defensive back currently holds 21 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Ohio State has a commanding lead for his commitment at 98.6%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

The Ducks’ 2024 recruiting class currently contains four players. They are Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star wide receiver Jordan Anderson, Philadelphia (Penn.) Roman Catholic four-star wide receiver Tyseer Denmark, Medford (Ore.) North Medford four-star tight end A.J. Pugliano and Vancouver (Wash.) Evergreen On3 four-star offensive tackle Fox Crader.

West has an On3 NIL Valuation of $97K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
