Oregon receiver Gary Bryant Jr. injured in third quarter of Oregon State game, exits early
Oregon receiver Gary Bryant, Jr. was injured late in the third quarter of their matchup vs. Oregon State on Friday night. Bryant was tackled on the sideline after hauling in a catch. He couldn’t put any weight on his left leg when he was being helped off the field. He was tackled by Oregon State defensive back Kitan Oladapo on the sideline around the 41-yard line and went down in an awkward motion.
With 6:54 remaining in the fourth quarter, Allison Williams of FOX updated Bryant’s status. “Oregon doesn’t release injury information during the game. But I did see him on crutches with a brace on his leg headed to the locker room. So, that was definitely not what Oregon fans wanted to hear,” Williams said.
While the injury wasn’t great news at all for the Ducks, they ended up winning the game on Friday night, 31-7.
Dan Lanning says Oregon is playing their best football
The Oregon Ducks got their revenge and in a big way on Friday night against the Oregon State Beavers in the Civil War. The Ducks dominated the game from start to finish, cruising to a 31-7 blowout victory in front of their home crowd in Autzen Stadium. With the win, Oregon punched their tickets to the Pac-12 Championship Game, where they’ll get a rematch with the Washington Huskies. Following the game, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning spoke with Allison Williams on the field.
How could he describe how his team got the job done in all three phases? “Every quarter, every snap, every minute our guys played today. We wanted to play our best football at the end. We’re playing our best right now. It was a great game,” Lanning said.

Bo Nix was surgical in his final game ever in Autzen Stadium. “That dude was dialed in man. Every opportunity, he took advantage of. Pressure in his face, he hit some dimes. This guy’s special and we get to see it every day in practice. I’m so glad the world got to see it tonight,” the Oregon head coach said.
How did the Oregon defense come through in shutting down a dominant Beaver ground attack? “Well, they took it personal. Last year, we didn’t play to our standard. They said this year we’re gonna play to our standard and they did. They did a great job tonight,” Lanning noted.
Oregon advances to the Pac-12 Championship Game vs. Washington. What is Lanning most proud of with this year’s team? “I told our team earlier in the year that we control our own destiny. This is a great example of a team controlling their own destiny. Knowing what’s ahead of you and what they’ve got to do to get there. They did it every single day,” Lanning said.
