The Oregon Ducks dominated the Colorado Buffaloes in every way, shape, and form on Saturday night. While they won the game in blowout fashion 49-10, their starting safety was ejected from the game for targeting. They’ll have to face Washington in the first half of next week’s game without their starting safety, Jamal Hill. Late in the third quarter against Colorado, he was ejected for a hit across the middle on Buffaloes receiver Jordyn Tyson.

It was a pretty clear targeting call and after reviewing the play, referees officially ejected Hill from Saturday night’s game. Unfortunately for Oregon, that means he won’t be able to play at all in the first half next week against the Washington Huskies. The Huskies happen to have one of the nation’s more prolific passers at quarterback, Michael Penix, Jr.

The good news for Oregon is they thoroughly dominated the Buffaloes on Saturday evening–49-10. The game was never really close once the Ducks got up 21-0 in the second quarter.

Nix once again showed he’s a completely different quarterback this year from last year with the Auburn Tigers. Against Colorado, he also became just the third player in Ducks’ program history to ever rush for a touchdown, throw for a touchdown, and catch a touchdown in the same game.

The rushing touchdown in the third quarter also made Nix just the 12th player in Pac-12 history since 1996 to have a passing touchdown, rushing touchdown, and receiving touchdown in the same game.

Credit to Oregon offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham, who’s done a beautiful job of utilizing Nix’s versatility in the offense in Eugene.

Oregon will face the Washington Huskies next week on Saturday, Nov. 12.
