Oregon TE Terrance Ferguson hauls in one-handed touchdown grab in first half of Pac-12 Championship Game
The Oregon Ducks struggled to get anything going in the first half of Friday night’s Pac-12 Championship Game against the Washington Huskies. But they finally got some life late in the first half, when the Ducks drove down inside the 10-yard line. Then Oregon quarterback Bo Nix found tight end Terrance Ferguson for a beautifully snagged one-handed touchdown grab in the corner of the end zone.
The beautiful touchdown grab figures to be one of the best plays of the night. It cut the Washington lead to 20-10 and immediately got the Ducks back in the thick of things. Not only that, Oregon ended up driving down and scoring again, cutting the Huskies lead to 20-17.
Oregon quarterback Bo Nix ripped off a nice 44-yard run down the sideline that go the Ducks in position yet again. Then, Jordan James punched it in to put the Ducks up 24-20 with less than two minutes remaining in the third quarter.
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning spoke in the fourth quarter
Heading into the fourth quarter, ABC’s Holly Rowe caught up with Oregon head coach Dan Lanning to hear about how he thought the Ducks can close the game out.
How have they been able to change the amount of pressure they’re getting on Huskies’ quarterback Michael Penix, Jr.? “Yeah we just keep changing, changing the picture. We’ve gotta change the picture. This quarterback is really good. At times, he’s finding it. We’ve got to continue to get to him,” Lanning said.

Unfortunately for Oregon, the Huskies battled back and took a 10-point lead with less than three minutes remaining in the game. Washington took a 34-24 lead with 2:44 left in the fourth quarter.
The Ducks managed to cut the Huskies lead to 34-31 in the closing minutes of the game. But Washington finished it off with some impressive plays in the final two minutes. Huskies running back Dillon Johnson had a great game, finishing with 28 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
