WATCH: Oregon wide receiver Chase Cota hauls in 49-yard touchdown catch vs Stanford
The Oregon Ducks started out slow against the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday night in the first quarter. They led the game 3-0, but right at the end of the first quarter, Oregon wideout Chase Cota got things cooking in a big way, taking a screen pass 49-yards to paydirt.
The touchdown put the Ducks up 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. Check it out as Cota catches the screen pass from Bo Nix at the right hash mark. He then turns on the burners to race 49-yards untouched to the end zone.
Chase Cota originally played for UCLA before transferring back home to suit up for the Ducks
Last week against Washington State, Cota hauled in seven catches for 84 receiving yards. Coming into tonight’s game, he’d reeled in 13 catches for over 100 receiving yards. The 49-yard touchdown catch against Stanford tonight was his first of the 2022 campaign.
