Oregon Ducks flip 4-star WR Ryan Pellum from USC
Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan four-star wide receiver Ryan Pellum has flipped his commitment from USC to Oregon.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pounder was committed to the Trojans since June 26, but opted to flip to Dan Lanning and the Ducks, joining an elite recruiting class in Eugene.
Pellum is the No. 129 overall prospect and No. 25 wideout in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 12 player in California.

Like USC, Oregon had Pellum on campus for an official visit in June. Despite losing out on the blue-chipper upon his commitment earlier in the summer, the Ducks remained in the mix. Pellum is the second elite WR to flip to the Ducks on Early National Signing Day, joining Saint Louis Christian Brothers Academy four-star Jeremiah McClellan, who flipped from Ohio State.
Pellum has an On3 NIL Valuation of $114K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
