JUCO defensive back Ryan Cooper commits to Oregon State

San Mateo College defensive back Ryan Cooper has committed to Oregon State.

Cooper is considered one of the best junior college defensive backs in the country. He went on a visit to Corvallis, Oregon, this past weekend.

“It’s a family,” Cooper told Oregon Live. “I felt comfortable on my visit… having guys there from the JUCO I go to now… It just felt right. And the love shown, for sure.”

He is the 14th commit in the Oregon State recruiting class.

He joins Fresno (Calif.) Edison three-star safety Carlos Mack, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian three-star EDGE Mathias Malaki-Donaldson, Saint Petersburg (Fla.) Calvary Christian three-star linebacker Melvin Jordan, Duncanville (Texas) three-star defensive lineman Quincy Wright and Tenino (Wash.) three-star EDGE Takari Hickle.
