3-star LB Leonard Ah You commits to Oregon State
Kahuku (Hi.) three-star linebacker Leonard Ah You announced his commitment to Oregon State on Friday. He chose the Beavers over multiple programs, including BYU and Utah.
Ah You is the No. 1,125 overall prospect and No. 102 linebacker in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Hawaii.
On3 rates Ah You higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not ranked in the 2023 On300, Ah You is the No. 3 player in Hawaii.
Following Ah You’s pledge, Oregon State’s 2023 recruiting class contains 17 players. The Beavers’ group, which is led by Las Vegas (Nev.) Spring Valley four-star Kelze Howard, ranks No. 51 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 7 in the Pac-12.
A 6-foot-2, 187-pound prospect, Ah You has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
