Houston (Tex.) Long Beach Poly four-star wide receiver and USC commit Jason Robinson received an offer from Penn State on Saturday. He announced the news over social media.

Robinson, a 5-foot-10, 160 pound wideout, is rated as the No. 227 overall prospect and No. 33 wide receiver in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 20 player in California.

Penn State’s 2024 recruiting class currently includes one prospect in Erie (Penn.) McDowell four-star interior offensive lineman Cooper Cousins. However, the Nittany Lions’ 2023 group is ranked No. 8 in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.

Meanwhile, the Trojans’ 2024 recruiting class is composed of three prospects alongside Robinson, who announced his pledge on Sept. 25. They are Calabasas (Calif.) four-star cornerback Aaron Butler and Long Beach (Calif.) Long Beach Poly four-star linebacker Dylan Williams. Both Butler and Williams are top-115 recruits.

While USC’s 2024 class is currently ranked No. 3, its 2023 class is rated No. 11.

Robinson’s offer list is 16. Schools on it in addition to Penn State and USC include Miami, Notre Dame and Utah. His On3 NIL Valuation is $22K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
