4-star CB Onis Konanbanny locks in official visit to Penn State
Columbia (S.C.) Heathwood Hall Episcopal four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny continues to lock in his plans for the summer. The rising blue-chipper knows he will make his way back up to The Keystone State in the coming months.
Konanbanny will return to Penn State for an official visit from June 14-16, he tells On3. It’s set to be his second trip to Happy Valley as the Nittany Lions turn up the heat in their push for his pledge.
“I visited Penn State on March 23 last year. They’ve been recruiting very hard from day one,” Konanbanny said. “When they offered me, it’s been an ongoing relationship. The whole staff really recruits me, but Coach Terry Smith Coach Khalid Ahmed talk to me a lot and always show love.”
Penn State has already compiled over 10 commitments in the 2025 cycle and is looking to boast a top-10 class when things are all said and done. The Nittany Lions have continued to make Konanbanny a priority and will look to make an impression when he makes his return in June.
“What I like most about Penn State is their defense, the environment, how they rock with me, how they see Joey Porter in me and what their degree means,” he said. “On the official visit I really want to see everything on campus. I want to be at practice turning up with them and bring my energy.”

Penn State battling other top programs for Konanbanny
Konanbanny released his top 10 schools on New Year’s Day and included Penn State alongside other heavy hitters, such as Florida State, LSU, Ohio State and Oregon.
North Carolina is also in the mix and will also host the DB for an official visit in June. Some heavy hitters in the SEC could have Konanbanny in town for OVs in the future, as well.
“I have two official visits locked in now and there are still more to come. I am being smart about the dates so they are spread out a little bit,” he said. “Alabama and Tennessee are two official visits I am working to schedule next.”
Konanbanny is the No. 252 overall recruit, No. 28 CB and No. 2 player in South Carolina in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him higher than other recruiting services, as he checks in as the No. 154 prospect, No. 18 corner and No. 1 player in his home state in the 2025 On300.
