4-star LB Ta'Mere Robinson commits to Penn State

Pittsburgh Brashear four-star linebacker Ta’Mere Robinson is staying in the Keystone State.
One of Pennslyavian’s best announced Friday he will play for Penn State, choosing the Nittany Lions over Miami and Virginia Tech.
He is Penn State’s second big-time linebacker commit in the past two days with Fairfax (Va.) four-star linebacker Tony Rojas.
Robinson is the No. 126 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Rojas and Robinson are the No. 8 and No. 9 linebacker recruits in the country.
“Tony Rojas and Ta’Mere Robinson are the high-level athletes that you need at linebacker in modern college football. Both are fast, explosive and can hit,” BWI’s Thomas Frank Carr wrote last month.
Only two players from Pennsylvania are ranked ahead of Robinson in the On3 Consensus: Reading (Pa.) Wyomissing interior offensive lineman Jven Williams and Uniontown (Pa.) Laurel Highlands wide receiver Rodney Gallagher.

Robinson currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $118k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The 2023 Nittany Lions recruiting ranks inside the top 10 of the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. Robinson and Rojas are the only linebacker recruits among the 19 commits.
Ta’Mere Robinson Scouting Summary
Long defender with range and on-field athleticism. Plays multiple spots for his high school defense but projects as an off-ball linebacker with the possibility of growing into a pass rusher long term. One of the longer linebacker prospects in the 2023 cycle. Measured 6-foot-3, 225 pounds with a 33.25-inch arm prior to his senior season. Moves well at his size. Can track down plays in pursuit. Shows some signs of being able to play in space at the high school level, where he’s asked to play safety or nickel at times. Still developing in terms of instincts. Missed a significant portion of his junior season after having surgery for a knee injury.
