4-star WR Carmelo Taylor commits to Penn State
Roanoke (Va.) Patrick Henry four-star wide receiver Carmelo Taylor has committed to Penn State. He announced the news over social media.

The Nittany Lions received an official visit from Taylor on June 24. He also took official visits to South Carolina and Virginia Tech.
Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class now contains 18 commitments. The group currently has two wide receivers in Taylor and Atco (N.J.) Winslow Township four-star Ejani Shakir. Taylor is the Nittany Lions’ first commitment of August.

Broad Run five-star interior offensive lineman Alex Birchmeier, the No. 28 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.

Taylor has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
